New Venue for Hull

The Hull Conference Bureau team are pleased to announce that the new purpose built Octagon Centre has recently joined the Hull Conference Partnership. The Centre which opens in August 2005 is within 5 minutes walk of Hull railway station and city centre and incorporates seven meeting rooms and an impressive 250 seat conference hall.
All rooms have been tastefully furnished, with an emphasis on design and practicality, and come complete with audio-visual equipment, whiteboard and flipchart stands as standard. The conference hall has a 12’ projection screen, ceiling mounted digital projector, radio microphone, induction loop, integrated DVD/video/CD/PC and lectern.

The `conferencing pods’ which comprise of one pod for the conference hall and another for the meeting rooms can be booked individually or as a whole for exhibition purposes or as break out rooms.

The Octagon Centre which is part of the Goodwin Development Trust has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Big Lottery Fund, Sure Start and Children’s Centres, will be the new flagship building which will provide office and surgery accommodation for tenants such as the West Hull Primary Care Trust and Kingston upon Hull City Council, along with a 57 place nursery.

With full catering service available and on site parking The Octagon has the facilities and flexibility to hold a variety of events.
