Tee Off In Yorkshire at Rudding Park

Rudding Park’s latest innovative venture, Repton Short Course, will introduce a new genre of golf to the region when it officially opens to the public on Tuesday 15 April 2008.

Repton Short Course is the first of its kind in the North of England. It has been developed to challenge traditional notions that golf is only for the time rich by offering golf in an hour: ideal for lunchtimes, after work or a quick weekend fix.

This is no pitch and putt course.  Designed by Martin Hawtree and consisting of six par three holes the course has been constructed to USGA specifications. The £750,000 development comprises one parkland hole, two woodland and two water holes and one island ‘signature’ hole - a replica of the notorious 17th at Sawgrass, Florida.

From busy professionals and scratch golfers to retired couples and young novices, Repton Short Course is sure to have universal appeal.

In a broader context, Repton Short Course will complement Rudding Park’s existing  facilities to create the North’s leading golf practice and tuition centre. A team of resident Pros offer tuition at all levels in the state of the art Golf Academy which adjoins the existing 18 bay driving range.

The new facility allows golf lessons without braving the British elements and offers:

  • two indoor swing studios equipped with the latest video technology
  • Explanar swing trainer (to build muscle memory)
  • an indoor Tomi putting laboratory (to fine tune your stroke)
  • hit out onto the range from the upstairs private teaching bay
  • viewing deck
  • additional retail space

Rates
  • Repton Short Course Round: £15 per person (includes a basket of balls at the Driving Range and use of the chipping and putting facilities)
  • Annual Subscriptions starting from £275 per person
