Yorkshire Helicopter Familiarisation Visit

Yorkshire Helicopter Familiarisation Visit
Last month, Yorkshire Tourist Board took to the skies to take five of the county’s key conference and exhibition buyers to see the region’s key business venues via helicopter.  The whistle stop tour took in York Racecourse, Magna Science Adventure Centre, Harewood House, Swinton Park and The Feversham Arms.
Yorkshire Tourist Board is over the moon with the feedback received:
Nicky LeBlond from Motivaction Group said that it was a fantastic trip and Joanna Martin from BI said it was the best familiarisation visit that she had been on.
Venue information:
  • Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham offers a host of unique and inspiring spaces, including an arena, spacious halls and impressive rooms where dedicated events and technical teams are on hand to provide first class catering and audio visual and lighting systems.
  • York Racecourse, host to Royal Ascot 2005, has 15,000 square metres of prime conference and exhibition space combined with 100 acres of beautiful grounds close to the heart of the city. Up to 2,500 people can be housed in its conference facilities.
  • Swinton Park, a castle hotel in Masham, North Yorkshire, caters for a wide range of events and functions, offering top of the range facilities within the splendour of its traditional surroundings and superb location.
  • The Feversham Arms Hotel is considered one of the most luxurious in the region and provides a meeting room that is ideal for boardroom meetings of up to twenty people, but will accommodate up to twenty four around one table or up to thirty five for a theatre-style presentation. Latest AV equipment also available.
  • Harewood House’s stately home grounds have a new Courtyard venue that will soon be available to those seeking distinctive locations for meetings and conferences. Set in an idyllic and inspirational location, it is also only seven miles from the hubbub of Leeds and Harrogate city centres.
