Yorkshire Scoops 3 Gold Awards
Yorkshire Scoops 3 Gold Awards in National Tourism ‘Oscars’ Yorkshire tourism operators triumphed in three of a possible 13 categories in
the national Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2006 announced in April, to celebrate
excellence in English tourism.
Yorkshire's Gold award winners are:
Magna Science Adventure Centre - Business Tourism Award
Castle Howard - Taste of England Award
York Luxury Holidays - Self-Catering Holiday of the Year

Speaking after the ceremony, David Andrews, chief executive of Yorkshire Tourist
Board said: "To win three gold awards out of 13 categories is an outstanding achievement.
Only London equalled our performance this year. Quality of product is vital to
an enhanced visitor experience, Magna, Castle Howard and York Luxury Holidays
are perfect examples of excellence, they deserve the accolade 'best in the land'.
It's a testament to the quality and diversity of product across Yorkshire, from
accommodation to attractions, events to customer service and we at YTB intend
to make sure Yorkshire continues to excel."
