About the Venue

A wonderful new venue is now available to those seeking distinctive locations for meetings and conferences:  the Courtyard at Harewood - providing superb hospitality and conferencing in a unique historic setting.
This Grade 1 listed building, in the grounds of Harewood House, has been restored externally and transformed internally to provide conferencing and hospitality facilities of the highest quality.  Originally a stable block built in 1755, the Courtyard overlooks the wonderful ‘Capability’ Brown landscape and  beautiful lake: an idyllic, utterly inspirational location – yet only 7 miles from the hubbub of  Leeds and Harrogate city centres.  And with unlimited free parking for delegates, they can really concentrate on the business in hand!
A fine balance has been held between restoration of the original features with appropriate materials, designs and craftsmanship, and the installation of stylish contemporary interiors and facilities.  The original beams span the light and airy spaces, creating an inspirational and refreshing environment. Delegates enjoy the very best of both worlds, not least in the purpose-built Harewood Suite lecture theatre with inbuilt state-of-the-art technology equipped for all modern corporate and meeting needs, including integral audio-visual facilities, high speed wireless internet connections ….and much more.
The Gawthorpe Suite, with its distinctive oak panelled partitions, and wood floor, is a stunning space for large receptions or more intimate meetings;  the Archway room is ideal for micro-conferencing or board meetings, and the Greystone Room overlooking the lake exudes tranquillity.
With dedicated reception areas, break out rooms, and a range of locations options for dining and refreshments, the Courtyard flexibly caters for conferences, meetings, receptions, dining, parties, product launches … all manner of events.
Events in the Courtyard are managed by digby trout Restaurants – with a range of sumptuous menus for every occasion, and a professional team experienced in delivering superby service for every event.  Haerwood joins a select list of digby trout historic venues including Hampton Court Palace, Edinburgh Castle, and Osborne House.
And of course, corporate events in the Courtyard benefit from its location at the heart of Harewood’s grounds, with the stunning sense of arrival through the main Arch, and the opportunity to wrap in other elements of Harewood into your event, from fine dining in the House, to a ride and drive in the grounds!
