About the Venue
Steeped in history and surrounded by century old trees, Wentbridge House dates
from 1700 and is set in 20 acres of gardens and grounds in the beautiful Went
Valley. Relaxed and peaceful yet just a minute from the A1 and within easy reach
of Doncaster, Leeds, Wakefield and York.
Bedrooms are individually designed and we have sizes and styles to suit everyone
from standard doubles to classic English four poster rooms including the 'Oakroom'
with antiques and Thompson of Kilburn furniture. All our bedrooms benefit from
luxury pocket sprung mattresses and duck down pillows (alternatives can be supplied
on request) so that you can drift away for a perfect night's sleep. Take a long
soak in a bath filled with seasonal Molton Brown products or keep in touch with
the office via the wired or wireless broadband connection in every room.
In the morning, there's filter coffee with fresh milk (if you prefer) and the
morning paper delivered to your door.
Wentbridge House focuses on delivering good food in a relaxed atmosphere which
appeals both to our hotel guests and the local community. There is a choice of
Restaurants depending on your mood - The elegant Fleur de Lys Restaurant or the
more contemporary Wentbridge Brasserie & Bar. Our experienced and creative
chefs use local produce and the best of British ingredients to produce a wide
range of both classic and contemporary dishes, winning awards along the way.
The wine list is one of the most extensive in Yorkshire with over 200 bottles
to choose from. Old favourites and a few surprises. All put together with care
and attention to detail.
Wentbridge House is a perfect and extremely popular venue for wedding receptions,
