Yorkshire Spa Venues
Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa
Set in the Grade-II listed former headquarters of the North Eastern Railway, The Grand is York’s first five-star project. Having been transformed from the Edwardian business centre that was its first incarnation in 1906, it is now a luxurious, tasteful facility in the heart of the city centre. It has all the facilities and amenities you could ask for, whether you are visiting York for a break or for business.
With 107 architecturally-individual, spacious bedrooms, including sumptuous loft-style suites and a penthouse with panoramic views across York to the famous Minster, The Grand is the address of choice for discerning visitors to the city.
The recently opened Spa @ The Grand is the perfect location to relax and unwind. Their luxury spa is located in the vaults of the building where millions of pounds of railway capital was once kept secure. Passing through three huge icon doors to reach the spa, visitors are whisked away to a cosy basement atmosphere which is flushed with historic period features.
The spa has a 25 meter swimming pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi, as set in the ambiance of the traditional building, but with a luxury modern twist. There are five individually designed treatment rooms - including one double for couples - beauty professionals will provide a range of specialists treatments catering to visitors needs.
This cosy and inviting space has been transformed into the perfect setting for bespoke holistic treatments – ideal for winding down at the end of the day.
Scarborough Spa
The Spa Complex is probably unique among British conference venues, not only because of its location - right on the sea front in the scenically beautiful South Bay, but also for the variety of facilities housed in what is largely a magnificent Victorian building.
There are breathtaking sea views from the Spa Ocean Room over Scarborough’s South Bay, allowing natural light along its entire length. It is a multi-purpose venue, seating up to 690 delegates and can provide 886 square metres of exhibition space, along with a large foyer and entrance area leading onto a first floor terraced area.
The Promenade Lounge, providing spectacular views of the South Bay coastline, is located on the ground floor beneath the Ocean Room and is a popular venue for conferences, exhibitions, meetings, lunches, evening functions and weddings.
All are equipped with excellent sound systems and comfortable seating and in the case of the Grand Hall and Ocean Room either theatre style or classroom style formats can be offered. Also with the seating removed, the Grand Hall has 823 square metres of exhibition space and the Ocean Room 886 square metres, which can be augmented with the additional space of adjoining lounge areas.
The Spa is fully self contained with ample car parking space, licensed bars, and restaurants. This is the perfect sea-side venue for those hot summer days.
Thorpe Park Hotel & Spa
Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa offer a range of specially designed spa breaks with visitors comfort and relaxation in mind. All of the Spa breaks include complimentary Spa membership throughout visitors stay as well as a range of Spa treatments; all you have to do is choose which one suits best.
The hotel and spa is also open to private hire and can offer purpose-designed meeting rooms with all-day comfort leather chairs. There is also the conference café which offers unlimited refreshments throughout the day.
After events and meetings, your delegates can run, step or stretch those muscles with a pulse-pumping workout in the well-equipped gym. But if endorphin rushes aren’t for you, guests can always retreat to the whirlpool or steam room - a much gentler way to refresh your mind and body.

Bridlington Spa
Bridlington Spa was built in 1896 by the Whitaker Bros, who wanted to create an entertainment for Victorian tourists visiting the town. The five acre site included a theatre, concert hall, bandstand and refreshment rooms, but this original building was destroyed by fire in 1906.
From small meetings to major rock concerts for audiences up to 3750, The Spa Bridlington is the perfect choice for almost any type of event. New and refurbished rooms of different sizes will be available for hire for events, conferences, exhibitions, weddings and meetings. Many of the rooms give stunning views onto the beach, promenade and sea and all are being built with state-of-the-art technical and catering facilities.
The magnificent 1930’s Ballroom with its outstanding open spaces and large balconies can handle a huge range of events, while the more intimate Edwardian theatre, over a century old, seats 650 in comfort. Surrounding these two traditional spaces are a host of modern facilities. The Harbour and Gallery suites, the Bay View and Promenade Lounges can all be hired for public or private functions.
