Sales drive offers business boost for HEY Conferences
Hull & East Yorkshire (HEY) Conferences recently launched a new sales drive to attract business into the region.
The aim of the new initiative, which in one day generated over £272,000 worth of enquiries, was to work together in partnership with conference providers to raise the profile of the Hull & East Yorkshire region.
Anna Lamb, HEY Conferences Sales Manager, said:
“There was a great buzz around the office as a number of our key conference and event providers came together to raise awareness of the region as the perfect destination for conferences and events. The exciting level of interest generated for the region highlights the events success. It was great to see the area working together to bring in new business!
“Almost 300 conference buyers were spoken to by the team on the day and we are looking forward to welcoming a number of them into the region for show rounds in the near future.”
Andrea Mercer, Sales Manager at the De Vere Village Hotel, said:
“HEY Conferences provided us with a professionally run sales environment with clear targets and objectives for the day, from the number of calls made to new contacts and leads generated. It was fantastic to be able to work alongside HEY Conferences and other key venues in the region with the joint aim of bringing business into Hull & East Yorkshire.
“The day was a great success and a number of business leads were created resulting in follow-up quotes now being provided to secure new business. “
The sales day was led by Anna Lamb and was attended by Katie West from KC Stadium, Serena Walters from Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort, Helen Monks from the Holiday Inn, Hull Marina, Andrea Mercer and Elly Taylor from Village Hotel & Leisure Club and Gill Stankovich from the Ramada, Hull. Lunch was provided by the Holiday Inn and prizes were offered as incentives throughout the day. Following the success of the initiative, another sales drive has been scheduled for January 2012.
